Public-domain masterworks read in voices built from the authors' own archival recordings where they survive — and honestly narrated where they don't. Whitman, Darwin, Tolstoy and more. Every voice clearly labelled: restored, narrated, or disputed.
Be first to hear new voices — one email a month when new authors launch. No spam.
Every voice is an AI restoration or a human narration — never a lost archival recording — and every book is labelled before you press play.
Every book labelled. Filter by author or search by title — pick what you want to listen to.

Three steps from the archive to your ears.
We draw on public-domain archival recordings and writings — Library of Congress, British Library, BBC archives — as the primary source for each voice.
Where a real recording of the author survives, a voice model studies its prosody, accent, and cadence, then performs the text anew. Where none exists, an AI voice designed in our studio performs the text — an interpretation, clearly labelled, never passed off as the author. Either way it is a new AI performance, honestly made — never a recovered recording.
Listen to public-domain masterworks with historically informed narration. Every AI-voiced or actor-voiced book is clearly labelled — transparency first.
Transparent about what this is. Every AI-voiced book is labelled, every text is public domain, and family estates are consulted where rights apply. Read the full AI disclosure →
