Delete your Iconic Voices account

You can delete your account at any time, whether or not you still have the app installed. Three equivalent paths:

1. In the app (iOS or Android)

Open the Iconic Voices app → Settings → Delete account → type DELETE to confirm. The app erases its local data (downloads, progress cache, sign-in) and sends the deletion request to our servers immediately.

2. On the web (signed in)

Go to Settings → Privacy and choose Delete account. From the same page you can first download a JSON export of your data if you want a copy.

3. By email (no app or sign-in needed)

Email [email protected] with the subject "Delete my account", sent from the email address on the account (that is how we verify it is you — we may ask you to confirm by reply before deleting). Deletion is scheduled within 72 hours of verification.

What gets deleted

• Your account: email address, user ID, and sign-in credentials
• Access to purchased books and subscriptions — on the website, in the web player, and in the apps
• Listening progress and bookmarks (including bookmark notes)
• Offline downloads are revoked and removed from your devices at next launch

Timeline: the account is deactivated immediately, held for a 7-day recovery window (sign back in during that window to cancel the deletion), then permanently deleted. Residual copies leave our backups within 30 days of the request. Deletion is irreversible — purchases cannot be restored afterwards.

What is retained, and why

• Transaction and tax records (what was bought, when, for how much) — kept up to 7 years where required by tax and accounting law (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)). These records are decoupled from your deleted profile.
• Anonymized technical logs that no longer identify you.
• Emails you sent to support, per our standard correspondence retention (up to 24 months) — ask in your deletion email if you want those erased too.
